Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas Review

Read about our experience on board Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas.

In February this year, I had the opportunity to cruise with Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas, Port Klang – Phuket – At Sea – Singapore. Yes, I embark the cruise in Port Klang instead of Singapore.

The Voyager of the Seas was once the largest cruise ship in the world. If you compare it it a Star Cruise Gemini, it’s approximately double the size.

Cruising is an all-inclusive holiday. You do not need to spend any additional money once you are on the cruise – fine dining, buffet meals, selected drinks, ice cream and activities are included.

Shopping on the cruise

If you love to shop, be sure to check out the daily bargains on deck 5at the Royal Promenade. My colleague bagged a nice watch for only US$20.

The currency used on board the cruise is US Dollars. All payments cash or card will be in US Dollars.

Wifi Onboard

If you cannot live without internet, you might want to add on the Royal Caribbean VOOM Surf & Stream WiFi at US$19.99 per day limited to one device at a time. The WiFi speed is fast enough to stream Youtube or Netflix but signal can be spotty in certain places in the ship especially in the cabins. Otherwise, it might be good to go on a digital detox for a couple of days.
