The world’s first Louis Vuitton restaurant and cafe is in Osaka, Japan. The French fashion house will open both a café and restaurant at the new Louis Vuitton Maison Osaka Midosuji.
The Louis Vuitton flagship store opened on 01 February 2020 while the cafe and restaurant started serving customers on 15 February 2020.
Louis Vuitton Restaurant joins growing list of luxury brands that have opened branded food outlets
Le Café V and Sugalabo V, will feature dishes by the highly acclaimed Japanese chef Yosuke Suga, once the protégé of the 32-Michelin star-earner Joël Robuchon.
Le Café V will be housed on the fourth (and top) floor of the store. There’s also a cocktail bar and outdoor terrace, making it an ideal post-shopping spree spot come spring.
At dinnertime, Sugalabo V will service dinner exclusively to a lucky few guest. The concept is an offshoot of Suga’s critically acclaimed (and impossible to get into) restaurant of the same name in Tokyo, which is currently ranked the 47th best restaurant in the world.
Sugalabo V will utilise an open kitchen mirroring chef Suga’s successful Tokyo restaurant but have that all-important luxury twist. The space will boast an elegant Art Deco aesthetic, with blush walls and gold accents. The long bar allows for a chef’s table setup where guests can watch the chef prepare their fare.
Now, you have another reason to book your holiday to Japan!
