Club Med is well known for its all inclusive holidays. This means the essentials in the resort are already included in the price you paid. You practically don’t have to see you wallet until you leave the resort.
Club Med has several resorts in Asia and Bali is one of my favourite. Here are some of the reasons why.
Accommodation
Club Med Bali offers a choice superior, deluxe and suite rooms. I recommend that you book the superior room to save some money as most of the time you will be outside of the room to enjoy the resort facilities. The beds in Club Med Bali are comfortable and I woke up fresh every morning.

Food
Club Med Bali has 2 restaurants – The Agung and The Deck.
The Agung restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers an extensive spread of Indonesian, Japanese, Indian, Italian, Western and Korean cuisine. You can find something that suit everyone’s taste. For guest with a special diet, speak to the chefs at the restaurant and they will do their best to cook you a meal. Complimentary house pouring red, white and rose wines are available during lunch and dinner. Just ask the wait staff for a glass or two!
My favourites at the Agung are the pizza, miso soup, Indonesia mee goreng, beef wellington and not forgetting the rum & raisin ice cream!
The Agung Restaurant Rum & Raisin Nasi Tumpeng
The Deck restaurant serves ala-carte meals. It is open for late lunch, dinner and late dinner. The late lunch and late dinner is the same menu. Ala carte dinner requires advance reservations which can be made at the reception. There is even a paid option to upgrade your ala carte dinner to a lobster dinner.
Beef Rendang at The Deck The Deck Menu Lobster Bisque
My favourites are the local dishes – nasi goreng with satay and nasi with beef rendang for late lunch or late dinner. The dinner has two menus – 1 & 2. I prefer menu 1 with lobster bisque.
Snacks are served at the Kintamani Bar and at the Beach Bar when the main restaurant is closed. There is always something to eat at Club Med Bali.

Kids Friendly
Club Med is well know for it’s kids club – complimentary for children age 4 to 17 years. Your children can be left in the safe hands of the Club Med GOs with activities planned for the entire day.
Adults Only
Besides being kids friendly, Club Med Bali also has a section for adults only. This is illustrated through the existence of the Zen Pool which does not permit anyone under 18 years.

Activities
Club Med Bali has a long list of activities for kids and adults! There are tennis courts, a basketball court, archery, beach volleyball, table tennis, yoga, Pilates, water aerobics, cardio classes, snorkelling, kayaking, wind surfing, trapeze, golf and even an evening cruise all at no extra cost. There is really no shortage of things to do at Club Med Bali.
Remember to check the timetable for the activity timings as there is time slots allocated for kids and adults. The activities may be changed or cancelled subject to weather and sea conditions. To keep the numbers manageable and enjoyable for everyone, some activities like snorkelling, sunset cruise and archery require to sign up at the water sports area in the morning. Snorkelling requires an additional swim test. This is to ensure you know how to use the equipment before going out to sea.

Entertainment
Club Med Bali has a different theme party every night. It starts with a family-friendly show at the theatre. The stage shows include musicals, acrobatics to talent shows involving guests children.
Wednesday nights are usually the Indonesian cultural night. Indonesia food will be served at The Agung Restaurant followed by the Indonesia traditional dance show at the special open air theatre.
After the theatre show, the GOs will lead you in crazy sign dance and try to get everyone involved. With unlimited drinks, dancing, a playful atmosphere and friendly GOs, you have a recipe for good time every night.

Location
Club Med Bali is located in Nusa Dua. The location is peaceful yet convenient. The airport is only 20 minutes away by car. Shopping is also nearby. The Bali Collection shopping mall just 5 minutes by car from Club Med Bali. Alternatively, you can rent a bicycle from the nice Indonesian gentleman near the Club Med water sports.
Bali Collection is an open air mall with restaurants, Starbucks, Cold Stone Ice Cream, massage, boutique shops and a small supermarket.
If you are craving for some babi guling, the famous Pak Dobil is located just outside the gates of Nusa Dua. You will need to go early as it gets busy around lunch time and sells out fast.
The babi guling comes as a mix rice set with a bowl of soup. It’s one of the best babi guling I have tasted.

The current CDV in Club Med Bali is the amazing Merlin Chelliah. She is one hard working CDV. I first met her at Club Med Kani abd have seen carrying bags off the boat and performing on stage at night. I met her again at Club Med Tomamu and saw her making breakfast smoothies for guest, working at the bar and entertaining the guest till late night. She is very friendly and will make sure you have an enjoyable time at Club Med.
