Cathay Pacific Returns To Kuala Lumpur

Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific resumes one-weekly service between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur from 24 November 2020.

Hong Kong based airline Cathay Pacific returns to Kuala Lumpur. Last month Cathay Pacific decided to shutdown Cathay Dragon to consolidate staff, network, and aircrafts due to the drop of travel demand because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cathay Dragon had some 50 destinations across Asia with half being in mainland China. With Cathay Dragon shutdown, the routes will be split between Cathay Pacific for premium traffic and HK Express, Cathay’s low-cost arm. The airline has applied to the different authorities in Hong Kong and overseas to secure approvals to continue flying to Cathay Dragon destinations.
