British Airways has a pleasant refresh for all World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) passengers flying from 1 July onwards including flights to/from Kuala Lumpur.
Enhanced comfort – A new quilt and a larger, more luxurious cushion will feature the herringbone design also found in First cabins and on the new amenity kits.
Bespoke new dining experience, with fresh seasonal menus and focus on British brands and ingredients.
Signature cocktails and mocktail featuring – Gin Fizz: Gin with orange juice and a top up of sparkling water. Bloody Mary: Flying favourite with vodka, tomato juice over ice with a slice and spice. Citrus Twist: Cool twist of orange and apple juice finished with lemon to tantalise the taste buds
The new enhanced World Traveller Plus will have new amenity kits made from recycled plastic bottles. The kits will contain an eye mask, socks, a pen, toothbrush, toothpaste and lip balm from Scaramouche and Fandango. Earplugs available on request.
World Traveller Plus Enhancements Introduced Earlier
British Airways unveiled changes to its World Traveller Plus service, including new menus and amenity kits.
In February, British Airways introduced a revamped dining menu, including a third meal option, a “more substantial” second hot meal during the flight, and new dishes.
The launch menus include:
- Braised British beef with roast new potatoes, onion soubise and bourguignon sauce
- Roasted guinea fowl with braised red cabbage, green beans, roast potato and mustard and chive jus
- Rigatoni pasta in a creamy garlic and herb sauce with leek, pumpkin and baby spinach
The airline launched a new World Traveller Plus seat last year. The new seats were fitted to selected B777 aircraft operating from Gatwick, which features a 50 per cent larger IFE screen, and six-way adjustable leg, foot and headrest.
The new seat will also be fitted to British Airways’ new A350s to be delivered later this year and will feature the carrier’s brand-new business class product.
