GO stands for Gentle Organisers, Club Med’s international staff coming from all over the world including Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Maldives, Australia and more. With such a wide range of nationalities, there is someone that will be able to speak your language.

The Chief de Village or CDV is the General Manager of the Resort. He or she usually speak several languages and can be seen around the resort. Should there be any issue that cannot be resolved by the GOs, please bring it up with the CDV.

Each Club Med resort is also called the village. Don’t be surprise if hear the GOs or CDV using this term. The GOs together with the CDV is the heart of Club Med. They make all the difference between choosing to spend your holiday at a hotel or Club Med.

Accommodation

Club Med Cherating is built in the distinctive longhouse architectural design. It is one of the world’s longest wooden structure on stilts at 850 meters long. There are a total of 15 blocks (A to O blocks), offering 3 different room types – Superior Garden Side, Superior Sea Side, and Suite.

The only difference between the Superior Garden Side and Superior Sea Side is the room location. Both room types are the same room size. Bedding is two super single beds that can be put together to form a king-size bed. Both room types offer the same basic amenities like TV with international channels, hairdryer, mini-bar, coffee/tea making facilities, separated shower, and toilet.

The Superior Garden Side rooms are the most budget-friendly. The rooms are mostly on the third floor with views facing the garden. Superior Sea Side rooms are located closer to the main areas, with views of the seas and usually located on the first and second floors.

Suite rooms are located at the end of the blocks which comes with living room, bathtub, shower, balcony with sun deck and additional benefits like in-room breakfast and stocked mini-bar replenished daily.

Each room type can occupy a maximum 2 adults with 1 child and 1 infant and some have connecting room option which can be used to form family rooms. Babies will be provided with baby cots and baby bathtubs in the room.

Guest with 2 adults and 2 children will be provided two rooms. Some guest has request if they can reduce to one room. Club Med price is based on per person and not per room. Even if you want to occupy only one room, the price remains the same.

I recommend save some money and book the Superior Garden View as most of the time you will be outside the room. I usually only use the room to shower and sleep.

The Rembulan located at Pantai Beach is the specialty restaurant with table service. It opens for late lunch and dinner. Late lunch serves a small buffet section while dinner requires a reservation which must be made at 8 am on the day you wish to dine.

The Enak Noodle Bar opens for late lunch and late dinner. You can have unlimited bowls of noodles. Just select your choice noodles and soup.
