Air New Zealand is now giving free Internet to all passengers on its WiFi-enabled aircraft. High speed WiFi has been fitted on most of its Boeing 777 and new Airbus A321 neo planes. However Air New Zealand’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet has yet to be WiFi enabled.
Passengers travelling on Air New Zealand’s A321 neo clocked download speeds between 1.4 and 4.7Mbps and uploads between 3.2 and 5Mbps.
The airline previously charged inflight Internet at NZD30 – 40 for an entire flight or NZD9 for an one-hour pass.
